Burglary suspect plucked from roof of KFC in The Heights

According to officers with the Houston Police Department, it was around 3 a.m. Monday when a man was spotted trying to break into the fast food restaurant on Yale south of 28th Street.

HOUSTON -- Police called in a fire department ladder truck to get a burglary suspect off the roof of a KFC restaurant.

According to officers with the Houston Police Department, it was around 3 a.m. Monday when a man was spotted trying to break into the fast food restaurant on Yale south of 28th Street. It appeared the man was trying to gain entry through the store's roof.

Officers surrounded the building and then requested a Houston Fire Department ladder truck to get the man off the roof.

There was no early word on what the man was trying to steal.
