HOUSTON –- Houston police were called to a Family Dollar along the East Freeway near Lockwood overnight after someone broke in.
Police said an alarm went off at the store shortly before 4 a.m. Friday.
They arrived to find a hole in the wall, but the suspect or suspects were already gone.
Surveillance video showed a man knocking out a few bricks in the wall to climb into the back of the store. Once inside, he realized the back storage area was locked and he couldn’t get into the retail portion of the store.
The man fled the scene empty-handed before officers arrived.
