HOUSTON – A Brazoria County woman was sentenced to five years in federal prison Thursday for distribution of child pornography.

Carrie Kelly, 31, pleaded guilty to the charges on March 2, 2011.

Investigators said an undercover agent in Oklahoma City used a file-sharing program to search for child porn on April 13, 2010, and then found a computer later traced to Kelly that was sharing child porn images and videos.

The next day, another agent in Rochester, N.Y., also found files available for sharing on Kelly’s computer.

Then, on April 23, 2010, yet another undercover officer in Florida downloaded child porn images from Kelly’s computer.

The agents contacted officers in Richwood, Texas, who prepared and executed a search warrant at Kelly’s home on April 28, 2010.

Investigators said they found a total of 3,368 images and 178 videos on Kelly’s computer depicting children engaged in sex acts.

They said Kelly admitted to being the one that downloaded the material.
