HARRIS COUNTY, Texas -- A county bomb squad responded to an Atascocita-area neighborhood overnight after concerns over a suspicious package.

The objects in question turned out to be camping equipment, Harris County officials said around 5:30 a.m. Thursday.

A bomb squad sent in a robot with cameras to examine the items, which appeared to be dumped in the middle of a neighborhood on Forest Timbers and Merrillwood.

Officials said a caller first alerted them to the gear, but they wouldn’t elaborate on what it was first reported as.
