HOUSTON—A body was found on the Southwest Freeway early Sunday morning, leaving investigators questioning how it got there.
Around 2:45 a.m., an HPD unit pulled over on the side of the Southwest Freeway near the West Loop. Another car was already stopped on the shoulder.
The driver of the car directed the officer’s attention to a body lying on the freeway, but the driver said that he did not hit the man; he only stopped to help.
Investigators say that the body was run over by several vehicles before anyone stopped. It’s currently unclear if the victim was trying to cross the street on foot or where he came from.
