HOUSTON –- Four vehicles collided in a chain-reaction crash on the Southwest Freeway just before midnight Wednesday.
Houston TranStar reported that the crash occurred near the exit for Beechnut.
Witnesses said a car pulled in front of a flat bed truck in a construction zone, causing the big rig to lose control. The truck hit the car and then slammed into the back of another 18-wheeler. A pickup truck driver then struck the 18-wheeler as well.
The driver in the flat bed was sent to the hospital in stable condition.
No other injuries were reported.
