HOUSTON — An award-winning barbecue chef got the call he was waiting for on Saturday. His stolen pit has been found in Houston.

The $8,000 pit was taken from Killen’s Steakhouse in Pearland Thursday. Owner Ronnie Killen said he got an anonymous phone call telling him where the pit was.

The caller said he had seen it on Facebook, and just wanted him to know where it could be found. It was behind an abandoned building near Alabama and College.

Killen hopes to start cooking brisket as soon as he gets it back from police.
