HOUSTON—A speeding motorcyclist led Waller police, Harris County Sheriff’s deputies and DPS State Troopers on a half-hour chase from Waller to Fort Bend County before crashing, according to authorities.
A Waller police unit clocked a motorcycle rider speeding on FM 2920 around 10:30 p.m. The officer attempted to pull the motorcycle over, but the rider refused to stop and hopped onto Highway 290 traveling inbound.
The motorcyclist led authorities on a high-speed chase, with speeds between 80 and 100 miles per hour, from Highway 290, to the West Loop, then outbound on Highway 59. The motorcyclist attempted to cut through a grassy section between the freeway and Williams Way, but lost control and crashed.
