Humble Police said Matt Sanchez called the woman whose car he’d broken into, and offered to pay her $500 if she told the judge they were friends and that is how his fingerprints ended up on her car.

HUMBLE, Texas – According to investigators, a car burglar tried to avoid jail time by pretending to be friends with the car’s owner.

Humble Police said Matt Sanchez called the woman whose car he’d broken into, and offered to pay her $500 if she told the judge they were friends and that is how his fingerprints ended up on her car.

He later came to her job with the cash. Officers were waiting outside to arrest him again.
