HOUSTON -- Six people were transported to the hospital Wednesday morning after a Metro bus collided with an 18-wheeler in southeast Houston, according to the Houston Fire Department.
The accident happened on the South Loop westbound frontage road at Scott Street around 9:30 a.m.
HFD said the big rig driver, the Metro bus driver, and four passengers were transported to the hospital. Their conditions were unknown, but their injuries appeared to be non-life threatening.
Aerial views from Air 11 showed several people walking off the bus on their own. The side of the bus appeared to be damage.
Houston police later said the driver of the 18-wheeler would be ticketed for allegedly running a red light.
