TOMBALL, Texas—An assistant Harris County attorney charged in a case of road rage appeared in court Tuesday morning.
Police said Susan Sciacca got so angry while driving on Tomball Parkway, she followed another driver into a parking garage and pulled out a handgun.
Sciacca is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She is out of jail on a $30,000 bond.
“I was fearful,” Sciacca told KHOU 11 News when asked about the incident.
“I’ve got a man out here screaming at me at the First Bank. He cut me off coming down the road on 2920. He got out of his car and I pulled my gun on him. I’ve got a concealed handgun license. I’m a Harris County prosecutor,” Sciacca said in a 911 call.
The incident was all caught on surveillance video by the bank’s camera, but that video has not been released.
The assistant county attorney works in the Family Protective Services Division and deals with cases involving children who are abused or neglected.
The Harris County Attorney’s Office said it is aware of the arrest and is reviewing the situation.
