PEARLAND, Texas — Authorities were searching for suspects who robbed an armored truck employee in broad daylight outside a busy Walmart in Pearland Friday.

It happened at the store located in the 1900 block of North Main around 11 a.m.

Two suspects ambushed a Loomis employee who was exiting the store with a bag of cash, according to Pearland police. A woman in the parking lot saw one of the suspects with a gun and ran into the store to tell employees.

“Yeah, he just robbed them point-blank range, put the gun to his head from what I hear,” one employee said.

Police used helicopters to assist in the search as they combed the area, but the suspects remain on the loose.
