Amber Alert issued for San Jacinto Co. teen

SHEPHERD, Texas -- The San Jacinto County Sheriff's Office has issued a statewide Amber Alert for Angela Rodriguez, a 14-year-old girl who was abducted by an 18-year-old who may be headed to Mexico.

Law enforcement officials believe the child may be in grave or immediate danger.

The suspect, Joaquin Garcia, was last seen in Shepherd, Texas, driving a blue or green 1999 Chevrolet Malibu with Texas license plate HLF-502.

Shepherd is about 60 miles north of Houston.

Garcia is described as a Hispanic male weighing about 175 lbs, 6 feet tall. He was last seen wearing a brown shirt with an eagle on the front, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. Garcia has acne all over his face and has brown eyes and black spiky hair.

Authorities said he may be headed to Reynosa, Mexico with the girl.

Angela Rodriguez is 5-foot 1-inch tall, weighs 140 pounds. She has black Harri, brown eyes, and was wearing gray capri pants and blue-and-white Jordan athletic shoes.
