HOUSTON -– The Harris County Sheriff’s Office cancelled an Amber Alert overnight after three missing Houston children were found safe.

The alert was first issued Tuesday evening after authorities said Vickierae Lopez, 27, took her kids from their grandmother’s home on the northeast side.

The three children were identified as Liam McIntosh, 5, Marshall Peralez, 3, and Korbin Peralez, 1.

Lopez was accused of sending messages to family members indicating she was thinking of committing suicide with the children by possibly driving off a bridge. Early Wednesday morning, however, officials said the children were found safe and the mother was in custody.

Authorities said Lopez was recently separated from her military husband who is stationed in Las Vegas. They asked the public to look out for a white 2010 Volkswagen Routan with Nevada license plates.

She had been communicating with her estranged husband and her mother. Before her capture, Lopez informed them that she had filled up with gas in Wichita Falls.
