FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas – A couple of alert Greatwood residents are credited with helping detectives crack a recent burglary spree.
One resident spotted a suspicious vehicle, took a photo of its license plate and turned it over to the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office.
The same blue Toyota also turned up in a video captured by another resident.
The car was traced to a Houston woman who said she had loaned it to another Houstonian named Alana Harrison.
Detectives say Harrison, 24, has confessed to five burglaries in the subdivision near Sugar Land. She said she drove a couple of male friends to Greatwood to commit the crimes on Oct. 4 and Oct. 7.
Harrison said she only knew the suspects by their street names. Detectives are still trying to track them down.
If you can help, call Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS (8477).
