LEAGUE CITY, Texas—Three family members were in the hospital Sunday after their boat went airborne onto land in League City.
It happened around 12:00 p.m. near Egret Bay Boulevard.
Police said a man, woman and the woman’s 9-year-old son were onboard.
According to authorities, they were speeding around a bend when the boat hit something and flew 40 yards into a wooded area. Because the boat went so far into the brush, crews had to use four-wheelers in order to get to the group. All three had to be airlifted to the hospital with broken bones.
The crash was still being investigated and there was no word on charges.
