HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Two ATV riders, a young man and woman, were sent to the hospital by Life Flight late Thursday after they struck a sport utility vehicle in northwest Harris County.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened at the intersection of Kieth Harrow Boulevard and Queenston Boulevard around 9:30 p.m.
The 25-year-old male and 18-year-old female were thrown from their ATV and taken to the hospital in critical condition. The driver of the SUV was not injured.
Deputies said the impact was so hard, the ATV spun around and rolled several times.
Investigators said it appeared someone ran a red light, causing the crash, but it wasn’t immediately determined who was at-fault.
