HOUSTON – Three robbery suspects crashed a pickup truck into a convenience store east of West University early Monday.

It happened around 3 a.m. at the 4949 Convenience Store on Bissonnet at South Shepherd.

Surveillance cameras captured a large white Ford F-250 pickup backing into the store. The suspects smashed through at the spot where the ATM sits knocking it free.

Three suspects jumped out, quickly stole an ATM and then sped away. Police responded quickly but no arrests were made.

Store employees have been working all morning to clean up the mess left behind by the suspects.

People coming to the store were shocked to hear what had happened.

“Clearly they had it very well planned out. It’s not like you could tap the wall and it’s gonna knock over, so obviously very premeditated. Someone knew what they were doing,” Jason Leal, a customer, said.

“I feel sad for the owners and the workers of 4949, but I’ve never felt unsafe when I’ve been there,” Caroline Kerr, another customer, said.

Luckily, no one was hurt. The store was closed when this happened around 3 a.m.

Now police are looking for the three men, the damaged white F-250 truck.
