HOUSTON-One of Houston's favorite festivals is under way right now. At the 31st Annual Italian Festival they have tons of entertainment, like the ever-popular grape-stomp and the pasta eating contest.?

The festival gets going mornings at 11 and lasts until 10 p.m., but on the final day, Sunday; it shuts down at 6 p.m. This year, the event has moved to the University of St. Thomas campus in the Montrose area.? Tickets are $6, and kids 12 and under get in for free.? Parking will cost you $2.

More than 500 champion skydivers are in town for the 2009 U.S. Parachute Association's Skydiving Championships. It's taking place now until October 25 at Skydive Spaceland in Rosharon. Spectators are welcome. It is free. Divers start jumping and doing stunts most mornings about 7.

Thousands of soccer fans will be at Robertson Stadium Sunday when The Dynamo battle the L.A. Galaxy. Soccer super star David Beckham is supposed to be there with the Galaxy.? The match is sold out, but you can still participate in the Soccer Fest before the game for free.? It's from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. There will be lots of music, games and giveaways plus special appearances by 11 News team members David Paul and Sherry Williams.
