HOUSTON-In these recessionary times, how can a girl (or guy) keep their fashionista membership card from being revoked? They head to the nearest designer outlet mall, of course, for discounted, name-brand clothing and shoes.

There's a new one in the Houston area which opened a year ago. It joins a smaller one in Conroe.

Houston Premium Outlets in Cypress on Highway 290 has 120 stores. The smaller Outlets of Conroe on League Line Road has 40 stores. Discounts at outlet malls start at 25 percent. Houston Premium Outlets assistant general manager Jessica Brown says their discounts go up to at least 65 percent.

And there's more.

"You can log onto premiumoutlets.com," said Brown. "Join the VIP shopper club for free and download a voucher for a free VIP coupon book that gets you additional savings at any of our stores. As well as there's online coupons you can download that are even better savings. So always plan your attack whenever you come out here."< /p>
