HOUSTON – A 6-year-old boy was killed Friday morning after being struck by a van owned by a security company, according to Houston police.
The boy, a 31-year-old woman and another adult were crossing Elysian around 11:50 a.m. when the accident occurred.
A woman was driving a van, owned by Dunbar Security, east on Lorraine when she turned left onto Elysian. She did not come to a complete stop at the red light, striking the boy and the 31-year-old. They were both transported to LBJ Hospital, where the child was pronounced dead.
The injured woman was listed in stable condition.
Police have not said who was at fault.
