5 things to know Tuesday: New info & video in search for deputy's killer

HOUSTON -- Here are five of this morning's top headlines along with your weather forecast from KHOU 11 News:

New video & info in search for Pct. 3 deputy's killer

The search continues for the killer of a 30-year veteran of law enforcement who was shot and killed in Baytown early Monday. Baytown PD released video of what appears to be the suspect's car. Along with the vehicle in this video, authorities are also looking for a white or Hispanic male, approximately 6 feet to 6 feet 3 inches tall with short hair and medium to stocky built who was seen in the area around the time of the shooting. Police said this person was possibly wearing a dark jacket with a patch on the sleeve. Tap here for complete coverage.

Quarterback Tony Romo to retire from football

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has opted to retire, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday morning. Adam Schefter with ESPN says Romo is leaving football and going into broadcasting. Schefter reports Dallas is planning to release Romo today. Tap here for more.

Shots reportedly fired during chase on I-45 N.

Pct. 4 Deputy Constables chased a suspect in a large van after a reported burglary along I-45 North early Tuesday. Tap here to read more.

St. Petersburg subway suicide bomb suspect ID'd, Kyrgyzstan officials say

The suspect in a suicide bombing in a St. Petersburg subway train that killed 14 people was identified Tuesday as a Russian citizen born in Kyrgyzstan, officials said. Russian investigators said they suspect a man whose body parts were found in the train was the bomber but did not name him. Tap here to read more.
