HOUSTON –- Houston police chased after two suspects accused of breaking into a car dealership on the southeast side.
The break-in was reported around 3 a.m. Monday along the Gulf Freeway near Fuqua.
Houston police said officers were dispatched to the dealership after an alarm company spotted three or four suspects inside the business via security cameras.
When officers arrived, they said two men fled and ran across the freeway. They were tracked down and arrested. Other officers found a third suspect hiding in a bushy area behind the dealership – he, too, was arrested.
Police said the men were using long bars or pry tools to attempt to break into a safe room.
Police said possible charges include evading arrest and burglary of a business.
