CONROE, Texas – A trio has been charged with stealing items from more than a dozen cemeteries and one is still on the loose.

Donald Brown and his girlfriend Talina Westerman are both in jail, charged with engaging in organized crime activity.

Westerman’s son-in-law, Michael Johnson has a warrant out for his arrest.

Montgomery County deputies believe the threesome swiped 13 grave markers, 144 cemetery vases, eight brass vase rings and three brass picture frames totaling nearly $57,000.

The thefts occurred at cemeteries in Montgomery, Harris and San Jacinto counties.

Westerman’s mother said they were busted while trying to sell the items. She also admitted that she’s humiliated by the crimes and her daughter wasn’t raised that way.

If you know the whereabouts of Johnson, you’re being asked to call the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-392-STOP.
