HOUSTON -- Houston police homicide investigators are asking for the public's assistance in identifying the killer of a man who was found fatally shot one year ago today.
The victim, Dameon Johnson, 36, of Houston, was on his way to work on March 19, 2013 when he suffered multiple gunshot wounds at 8200 Peachtree.
Officers found Johnson after responding to a call at about 7 a.m. regarding a major traffic accident at that location. Johnson was in a ditch along the roadway and his 2008 white Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck was in a ditch on the opposite side of the street. Investigators said the truck did not appear to be involved in a traffic accident.
Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene.
One year later, there is no known motive or suspect(s) in the case.
Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-308-3600.
