HOUSTON – Dress in layers today, because we have another cold, clear day in the Houston area Monday, KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson said.
“The good news is the winds are calm so we are not adding a wind chill factor this morning so the 20s and 30s are at least feeling that way,” Johnson said.
Despite the chilly morning, highs are expected to warm up to the mid- to low- 60s this afternoon and a warming trend will kick in over the next couple of days, reaching the 70s by Wednesday.
The skies will be sunny and clear until Friday when a 40-percent chance for rain creeps into the forecast.
A cold front scheduled to arrive next weekend could make for some chilly weather for the holiday week.
