HOUSTON – Two teenagers were taken to the hospital late Saturday night after police said they were involved in a car wreck stemming from an altercation with another teen in southwest Houston.

According to the Houston Police Department, officers responded to a call of a shooting at about 10:45 p.m. near Darlinghurst and Townwood. When police arrived, they found that a teenager had shot at several other teens with a high-powered BB gun.

Police said one male teen had been shot and three others were being shot at before they all jumped into a car and fled the scene. The driver of the car lost control of the vehicle and smashed into a light pole near West Orem and Ambrose, just a few blocks away.

Two of the three teens were transported to the hospital in serious but stable condition.

HPD was investigating who shot at them and why.
