CUT AND SHOOT, Texas – Two store clerks were assaulted Thursday night during an armed robbery at a gas station in Montgomery County, deputies said.
According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, it happened just after 9:30 p.m. at the Fuel Maxx #1 store located in the 12700 block of Highway 105 East.
Investigators said a store clerk called 911 and said three armed males had entered the store.
One of the suspects went behind the counter and demanded money from the clerk, while another watched for people entering the store, deputies said. The third suspect stood watch over the other employees in the store.
Investigators said one of the suspects hit an employee with his pistol, while another clerk was kicked several times in the face.
The suspects also robbed a customer who had entered the store during robbery, deputies said.
The suspects fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money by the times deputies arrived at the gas station, investigators said.
One of the employees that was assaulted was taken to a local hospital to be evaluated, police said.
