HOUSTON – Two men wearing ski masks attempted to rob a McDonald’s Thursday evening in northeast Houston.

The incident happened at Tidwell and Homestead.

They walked up to the drive-thru and fired a shot into the window. The robbers did not get away with anything due to burglar bars on the window.

An employee was injured to the left side of her face, according to police.

This was the fifth McDonald's robbery attempt in the Houston area since October.

Police did not state if they were related.
