HOUSTON – Police were involved in a brief chase on the northeast side of town overnight after they said a driver ran a red light.
Police said the chase started around 1:45 a.m. Wednesday after an officer saw a car run a light on W. Tidwell Road at Cortlandt Street. The officer also witnessed other violations, according to the Houston Police Department.
A chase ensued but came to an end shortly after when the driver skidded on top of a curb.
Two men were taken into custody. A third person, who was a juvenile passenger in the car, was released.
Police said they weren't sure why the trio refused to pull over. The car was not reported stolen, according to police.
