HOUSTON – Two people were arrested after leading police on a chase early Sunday in southwest Houston, police said.
According to the Houston Police Department, it began when an officer spotted a speeding car with a person hanging out of the window heading down Highway 288 near Holly Hall at 1:15 a.m.
Police tried to pull the car over, but the driver wouldn’t stop and accelerated, police said. During the chase, one of the suspects threw a gun out of the window.
While the suspects were heading down Ardmore, they attempted to turn onto Alice, but lost control of their vehicle, police said. The car ended up in a ditch.
The suspects were taken into custody and face charges of speeding and evading arrest, police said.
No injuries were reported.
