HOUSTON – High pressure was still in control making for a warm Wednesday in the Houston area, said KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Chita Johnson.
Early morning temperatures were in the low-70s for much of the area. The afternoon forecast high was 90 degrees, but the next couple of days will bring some changes.
“A front will be dropping down this upcoming weekend,” said Johnson. “That is going to help with not only our rain chances but also our temperatures.”
On Thursday we have a 20-percent chance of rain with a forecast high of 90 degrees.
On Friday and Saturday we’ll see the greatest chance for rain at 40-percent and highs in the mid-80s. On Sunday the rain chance drops to 30-percent.
By Monday, the rain clears out leaving us with afternoon temps in the 80s and overnight lows in the upper-60s.
