17-year-old falls out of car, dies after being shot in northwest Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office are asking for anyone with info about a teen’s fatal shooting on Friday night to step forward.

The sheriff’s office says Luis Ramon Arias, 17, got out of his vehicle in a parking lot along Fry Road and Little York Road and collapsed. It happened around 9:30 p.m.

Witnesses came to the young man’s aid, but he was pronounced dead during the ambulance ride to the hospital.

Authorities said it wasn’t clear when or where the young man was shot. None of the witnesses reported hearing any shots.

The teen’s mother was later notified about his death.
