HOUSTON – It looks like we’re in for a cold end to the weekend after the heavy rain that most of us woke up to Saturday morning subsides, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez.
The bulk of the rain started moving into the area early Saturday morning and is expected to taper off sometime in the later afternoon.
“Some of those very heavy storms that are now around the Houston area could produce as much as a half inch to an inch of rainfall,” said Gomez.
Temperature-wise, Saturday will see lows in the lower-60s and highs in the lower-70s.
Starting Saturday evening, temperatures will start drop rapidly, setting us up for a cold, blustery Sunday.
Gomez said temperatures on Sunday will start off in the low-40s and top off in the mid-50s.
