HOUSTON – Thieves went straight for the high-end purses in a luxury home in West University Thursday night while the owners were away in Italy.

Adela Gonzalez works at the home of fashionista Donae and her husband Rob Chramsota. The couple was away in Italy while the burglary took place.

"I was so scared," said Gonzalez.

Donae previously appeared on KHOU’s Great Day Houston to showcase her boutique Vintage Contessa.

Thieves got away with about a dozen purses, including a Chanel and Hermes bag.

The burglars gained entry into the home through a second floor master bedroom window, They broke the glass after jumping on the tile roof.

Someone cut the wire for the alarm system earlier in the day, and thieves pulled down the sirens around the house.

“I told them it must be someone that knew you weren’t going to be here and knew the house inside and out,” said Gonzalez.

In all, the burglars got away with $125,000 worth of purses.
