HOUSTON -- A woman was killed when a DWI suspect crashed into her Ford Taurus on the Gulf Freeway early Sunday, police said.
Blisha Marrie Puga, 35, was charged with intoxication manslaughter after the crash.
According to the Houston Police Department, the accident happened at 5:15 a.m. on the northbound lanes of Interstate 45 near Broadway Street.
Witnesses said Puga swerved her Saab into the Ford at a high rate of speed. The Ford was partially crushed in the crash, and a woman inside was pronounced dead at the scene.
Puga was later arrested and is being held on a $30,000 bond, according to court records.
