HARRIS COUNTY, Texas -- Deputies are searching for the suspect who shot a person in the neck in the parking lot of an HEB store in the Cinco Ranch area.

The shooting happened at about 8:25 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said a 19-year-old man was making a stop at the store located on Mason Road at Highland Knolls when four suspects pulled up and an altercation occurred.

There were no witnesses to the shooting itself, but some store workers told deputies they saw four men leaving the scene in two different vehicles.

Those nearby never heard the shots, but they knew something was wrong because the victim was pushing down on the gas pedal of his car, which was parked next to a fence on the far side of the lot.

The teen was flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital by Lifeflight where he was listed in stable condition.

Store surveillance cameras were present, but deputies have not said whether or not the crime was captured on video.

Anyone with information can call the Harris County Sheriff’s Office at 713-755-6044.
