HOUSTON – Police say a fatal shooting of a young man Saturday afternoon at a southwest Houston apartment complex is likely gang-related.
According to witnesses, they saw two men arguing around 2:40 p.m. at the complex located in the 10100 block of South Gessner near Braeswood.
The victim turned to leave and that’s when the other guy opened fire, witnesses said. The victim ran across Gessner where he collapsed. There were plenty of people, including families around.
Witnesses ran up to help, in fact one woman even tried to perform CPR, but the victim died before paramedics arrived.
Police have three or four people in custody right now that they are questioning. They aren’t considering them suspects just yet.
The victim hasn’t been identified—police say he could be an older teen or young adult.
