HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Authorities were searching for suspects Saturday after a double shooting left one man dead and another in the hospital in east Harris County.
Deputies said three men pulled up to the driveway of a mobile home near the intersection of Hodges and Harris around 6:45 p.m. and confronted the homeowner who was leaving.
Authorities said the three men started shooting, prompting the homeowner to fire back.
One of the three suspects was shot and died at the scene. The homeowner suffered gunshot wounds and was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
Deputies said the other two suspects jumped into a vehicle and fled the scene.
It was not clear what led to the shooting.
