FRIENDSWOOD, Texas — Three people were arrested on heroin possession charges Wednesday night, Friendswood police said.
The arrests came after an undercover sting, and two of the suspects had previous arrests in Friendswood for heroin possession, police said.
Friendswood narcotics investigators said they saw what they believed to be a drug sale about 6:35 p.m. at a spot in Houston and followed the suspects into Friendswood before making a traffic stop.
A search of the car turned up 5 grams or black tar heroin, as well as an eye drop bottle with what was confirmed to be liquid heroin, police said. All three people in the car were arrested.
Jeffrey Cross, 24, of Friendswood, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. He was being held in the Harris County jail on $20,000 bond.
Raul Delacruz, 25, of Houston, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and was being held without bond because of a separate drug possession warrant.
Kelsey Gary, 19, of League City, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and was held in the Harris County Jail on $2,000 bond.
Friendswood police said Delacruz was arrested by Friendswood police on Aug. 18 and charged with heroin possession. Cross was arrested by Friendswood police on Aug. 22 on a heroin possession charge.
Both still were awaiting trial on those charges, according to police records.
