Study: Drinking lower fat milk doesn’t help toddlers’ weight

HOUSTON – Drinking lower fat milk doesn’t necessarily mean your kids won’t get fat, according to a study published in the Archives of Disease in Childhood journal. 

Their research found kids who drank regular or 2-percent milk had a lower weight than those who drank skim or low-fat milk.

Doctors think it’s because kids who drink higher fat milk feel fuller longer and as a result they eat less.
