NEW YORK – First Lady Michelle Obama’s school lunch plan to help combat childhood obesity isn’t being met with open arms by all students.
A group of high school students in Kansas created a YouTube video to take their issues with the program public.
A four-minute video titled “We Are Hungry” is set to the tune of a pop song, showing students all over the school randomly (and jokingly) passing out due to weakness.
The Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 limits the calories of school lunches to 850.
These students, many of whom are athletes, say that just isn’t enough.
