BLOUNT COUNTY, Tenn.- Four Eagleton Middle School students were taken to the hospital Tuesday morning after taking pills that a student brought to school.

Four students potentially ingested the "unidentified pills", according to Blount County Schools Communications Director Marla Holbert.

She said the Eagleton Middle School principal then called each of the students' parents and the four kids were taken by ambulance to the hospital.

Each were in stable condition when they arrived, but Holbert said they don't know whether any of the kids involved have been released yet.

Eagleton Middle School covers sixth through eighth grade students.

The school system and the Blount County Sheriff's Office are investigating the incident.
