Four-legged Isaac evacuees taken in by Houston SPCA

HOUSTON Dozens of dogs and cats from Louisiana are getting some tender loving care in Houston.

The Houston SPCA agreed to accept the Hurricane Isaac evacuees from the St. Bernard Parish Animal Control Center in Louisiana.

The Houston SPCA had extra room at their shelter thanks to the families who adopted 170 pets last weekend.

The 35 small dogs, 10 puppies, 14 kittens and 10 cats from Louisiana-- along with many others -- are available for adoption.
