Spears attorney sues Anna Nicole Smith estate for back pay

LOS ANGELES—Turns out Britney Spears and Anna Nicole Smith have something in common—the same attorney in their child custody battles.

Spears attorney Sorrell Trope is suing Smith’s estate for unpaid legal bills.
Trope is seeking more than $160,000 in legal fees for work his firm provided for Smith from October 2006 to March 2007, according to a creditor’s claim filed with Los Angeles County Superior Court on Wednesday.
The story was first reported by CelebTV.com.
The former Playboy Playmate died in February.
Trope says the work had to do with the legal saga over who was the father of Smith’s baby and who should have custody.
Trope now represents Spears in her custody case against Kevin Federline.
