HARRIS COUNTY – Law enforcement officers raided a massive marijuana grow house in northwest Harris County Wednesday.

They say there was about $2 million worth of pot inside the house on Jones Road near Cypress North Houston.

"And I didn’t get a dime of it," joked neighbor Ron Hearne. "This isn’t the kind of neighborhood where people come around with guns hanging out, and so it’s kind of disconcerting to be honest you."

A citizen tipped off the sheriff’s office Wednesday morning.

Daw Huynh, 38, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.

Neighbors in the quiet neighborhood had no idea what was going on behind closed doors.

"Are you serious? Isn’t that shameful," said Betty Williams.

"No one visits their neighbors anymore," said Joe Emmett. "No one knows who they’re dealing with."

Neighbors say Huynh hadn’t lived there long.

We asked Huynh about the marijuana.

"I don’t speak English. Don’t speak English. No English," Huynh said as he sat in the patrol car.

Hearne said Huynh actually speaks English quite well.

"That doesn’t surprise me. If I were in as much trouble as he is, I would learn to speak Vietnamese overnight," Hearne laughed.
