HOUSTON – Justin Timberlake’s got the moves and voice, but so does backup singer Erin Stevenson.

Stevenson, a graduate of Willowridge High School and Prairie View A&M University, is back home as Timberlake’s “20/20 Experience” tour makes a stop in Houston Thursday night at the Toyota Center.

“My phone is going crazy, email is going crazy, everything is going crazy, but mostly, I’m happy that my family will be there tonight,” she said.

Stevenson is one of four singers backing up Timberlake on his tour. She brings a lot of talent to the stage, and Stevenson said Houston was her training ground as she played just about every venue in town.

“Starting out singing for maybe $20, gas money to get there and back, but because I really wanted to be heard, you have to make it happen,” she said.

Aside from singing with Timberlake, she’s also performed alongside Jennifer Lopez and Janet Jackson.

As for Thursday night, her parents, siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins will all be in attendance.

“Uh my dad’s the worst. My dad, you’ll probably hear him here at the station, yelling so loud from the Toyota Center,” she said.

Stevenson also tried teaching the KHOU 11 News anchors some of her moves on the air Thursday morning.

The sold out crowd at the Toyota Center gets the “real” suit and tie, Thursday night.
