CHANNELVIEW—A man is dashing the dreams of little girls all over Texas by selling fake tickets to a Justin Bieber concert.

Seven-year-old MaKayla Covarrubias, from Channelview, was crushed to learn the tickets her mom bought for her weren’t real.

Yajaira Covarrubias found the tickets on Craigslist and decided to splurge. The single mother of two arranged to meet the seller at The Woodlands Mall.

"We met and he gave me the tickets and I took a look at them, but I really didn’t know what to look for," Covarrubias said. "I was trying to see if there was any fuzzy print, but they looked legit."

She gave the man, who identified himself as Michael Miller, $300.

When Covarrubias saw a report about a grandmother in Ft. Worth who bought fake tickets from a man named Michael Miller, she realized she’d been duped.

She checked her tickets and discovered seats 13 and 14 don’t exist in their section at the Toyota Center.

Covarrubias and her daughter are trying to find another way to get to the Justin Bieber concert.
