HPD: Teens went in store without masks just moments before robbery

KHOU 11's Shern-Min Chow reports

HOUSTON - Houston police are looking for three older teens who allegedly held up a convenience store along West Sam Houston Parkway.

It happened in the 2300 block of West Sam Houston around 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 5, according to a press release from the Houston Police Department.

Surveillance video shows two of the suspects going into the store to look around. Moments later, they returned but with their faces concealed.

As the young men held a pistol to the cashier, they took money and cigarettes. A third suspect partially concealed his face while acting as a possible lookout at the front door.

All three suspects ran to an awaiting vehicle, a 2004 white Ford F-150 pickup.  The truck was later recovered and determined to be stolen in a separate robbery.

Anyone with information on the identities of the suspects wanted in this case is urged to contact the HPD Robbery Division at 713-308-0700 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
