UH student robbed at gunpoint on campus

HOUSTON – University of Houston Police have issued a security alert for faculty and students after an overnight robbery on campus.

UH Police say it was shortly before 3 a.m. when a student was in the 4800 block of Calhoun near the Den when he was approached by two men. One man displayed a black handgun and took the student's backpack containing his laptop and cellphone.

The suspects fled in a vehicle southbound on Calhoun towards Wheeler.  The victim was not hurt.
According to police, one suspect was a black male, 18-20 yoa, medium build, 5’09” to 5’10”; black hoodie, black and white horizontal striped shorts. The other was also a black male, 18-20 yoa, medium build, 5’09” to 5’10”; gray hoodie, black and black shorts.

Their vehicle was an older Silver Chevy Impala, possibly a 2000-2001 year model.
